HEMATITE
Hematite is an iron oxide, steel gray to iron black in color. sometimes it has deep red spots on the surface. It is found in the United States, Brazil and Canada.
The iron in this mineral has a strong effect on the blood and it supports the kidney's blood-cleansing function. Hematite is a protective stone and helps bolster low self-esteem. It is said to aid tissue regeneration. It also increases resistance to stress and enhances personal magnetism, optimism, will and courage.
Egyptians value it as a cure for hysteria. Because of its association with Mars, it was also considered to be of invaluable help to warriors rubbing their bodies with it.
